When Anita Lester turned 12, her mother passed down her late father’s collection of classic poetry. Having spent the previous two years painting in her attic bedroom, poetry would resonate with Lester on a deeper level and provide stillness to a tempestuous adolescence. Like many whose work featured in the collection, a career in music would ensue.
Over the last decade, Anita has been the front-woman of Classical pop trio 'Me and the Grownups' and more notably 'Lester The Fierce', which gained her a dedicated following around the world.
Anita's uniquely haunting stage presence and poetic and heartbreaking lyrics, have become part of her musical legacy so far.
In 2017, Anita released two collaborative projects with her film maker brother Yoav Lester- 'Man' and 'Last Day'. They saw her cinematic compositions pair with his visual beauty and began her songwriting after a 3 year hiatus.
In 2018 Anita recorded a brand new project, set to be released early 2019.
